VFX PARTNERS extends an opportunity to film, TV and new media students to learn more about the BUSINESS of producing visual effects. To this end we will soon present a webinar titled

Budgeting Visual Effects for Feature Films

This informative webinar is in two parts of approximately 30 and 20 minutes respectively. Using Movie Magic Budgeting for the framework, we will introduce participants to the basics of preparing a reliable “real‐world” budget for a VFX project. Concepts we discuss include the VFX Chart of Accounts, Globals, Fringes, VFX Crew, Equipment and Production Support.

We respectfully ask for your help in spreading the word to your students. In a few days we will email you a flyer with more details about the webinar. We would appreciate it if you would post the flyer where students can see it and let students know when the webinar will be available.

Schedule:

Students may view this webinar as often as they wish over a three‐day period in one of two separate sessions, October 12 ‐ 14, or October 15 – 17. As a special bonus, they may download a complimentary copy of the complete Demonstration Budget that we use in our webinar.

Cost:
