Denver Film Festival Call For Volunteers!


34th Starz Denver Film Festival CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS 
The 34th Starz Denver Film Festival, is scheduled for Nov. 2 - 13, 2011.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
We have a NEW wonderful, on-line system for Volunteer Registration and Scheduling this year, called SHIFTBOARD! As always, alll SDFF volunteers will receive a movie voucher for every five hours of work AND (as always) you will have a GREAT TIME, while at the same time, contribute to the success of the festival!  Volunteers should be 18 years or older.   
There are 3 easy steps to become a Volunteer for the Starz Denver Film Festival. Anyone interested in volunteering:

Register online at  www.shiftboard.com/denverfilm    
After registering, you must attend one of the following, one hour Volunteer Orientation meetings:
Tuesday, October 4th, 6:30pm, Starz FilmCenter 
Sunday, October 9th, 4pm, Henderson's Lounge at the Denver Film Center/Colfax
Saturday, October 15th, 4pm, Henderson's Lounge at the Denver Film Center/Colfax
Wednesday, October 19th, 6:30pm, Starz FilmCenter 
Sunday, October 23rd, 4pm, Henderson's Lounge at the Denver Film Center/Colfax
Saturday, October 29th, 4pm, Henderson's Lounge at the Denver Film Center/Colfax  

At each orientation meeting, interested volunteers will receive detailed information about the different departments and the potential opportunities to support the Festival. 
Orientation meetings will be held at two different locations this year, either the 
Denver Film Center/Colfax (2510 East Colfax Avenue) 
or  Starz FilmCenter on Auraria Campus (900 Auraria Pkwy, across from the Pepsi Center).Orientations at the Starz FilmCenter offer validated parking for the north Parking Structure next to the Tivoli Center. Parking at the Denver FilmCenter/Colfax is free.  

3.  After attending a Volunteer Orientation meeting, volunteers will receive an email with their department assignments. Volunteers will then schedule themselves for the shifts in the departments that they are interested in filling. All volunteers will be notified of shifts 2 days prior to the day of a shift.
