Videographer Needed Right Away!

We need a videographer for 10/3 Day 2 of songwriting in the classroom, 10/17 Day 3 at the recording studio and then editing of the final product into a music video using the song created by the students.

The video will be promoted in ASCAP’s Playback Magazine (circulation to 85,000 songwriters, composers and music industry professionals) and also on www.ASCAP.com

The songwriter residency is a mentorship program that provides a platform for songwriters to easily connect and give back to their local communities by engaging and inspiring elementary and middle school students in under-resourced neighborhoods.

If you know of anyone, please have them email me at rperkins@ascap.com

We’re still booking/confirming artists for this year. Last year’s included critically-acclaimed band The Great Unknown in five cities; Latin Grammy Award-winning songwriter Claudia Brant (Luis Fonsi, Carlos Santana) and hit songwriters Da Internz (Justin Bieber, John Legend) in LA;Grammy-nominated songwriter Odie Blackmon (George Strait, Lee Ann Womack) in St. Louis; R&B singer/songwriter Dondria (So So Def/Island Music) in Dallas; Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Chris Henderson (R. Kelly, Jamie Foxx) in Atlanta; and Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer The Legendary Traxster (Ludacris, Twista) in Chicago.

Here's a great video from the Claudia Brant sessions last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxl0phBgIvg - Also see last year's Chris Henderson sessions featured on Fox News Atlanta http://bit.ly/eHMiN0, The Legendary Traxster's sessions featured on Fox News Chicago http://bit.ly/oqzA2x and The Great Unknown sessions in The New York Times http://nyti.ms/fxJC4r and The Huffington Post http://huff.to/nDJUsg

For more details about America SCORES:

America SCORES is a national youth development program that works with kids living in high risk urban areas. Their goal is to get kids engaged before they drop out. They go into under funded schools that have little to no after school programming and they create a full fall, and fullspring season, 5 days/week, soccer and poetry. SCORES kids play soccer three days a week (team-building and fitness) and write poetry two days a week (literacy and self expression.)  They work with 5000 kids in 200 schools in 15 cities, after school, every day. ASCAP has partnered with America SCORES to bring songwriters into the poetry classes to co-write and record a song with the kids.
